David M. Brady, ND, DC, CCN, DACBN, IFMCP, FACN has nearly 30 years of experience as an integrative practitioner and more than 25 years in health sciences academia. He is a licensed naturopathic medical physician in Connecticut and Vermont; he is board certified in functional medicine and clinical nutrition; and he is a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition. He held the long-time position as Vice President for Health Sciences and Director of the Human Nutrition Institute at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, where he continues to serve as an Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences. He maintains a private practice, Whole Body Medicine, in Fairfield, CT, USA.

Dr. Brady is also the Chief Medical Officer for Designs for Health®, Inc. and Diagnostic Solutions Labs, LLC; he is also an expert consultant for nutritional supplements and clinical laboratory industries.

Dr. Brady is one of the foremost authorities on properly diagnosing and treating fibromyalgia. He has been featured in top popular media outlets, including Dr. Oz, ELLE, and NPR. He has published articles in leading peer-reviewed medical journals including the Open Journal of Rheumatology and Autoimmune Diseases and Integrative Medicine: A Clinician’s Journal.

Dr. Brady is an internationally sought-after presenter on nutrition, and functional and integrative medicine. He has appeared on the speaking panel of some of the largest and most prestigious conferences in the field including the IFM, ACAM, A4M, IHS, AANP, AIHM, IAACN, ICC-CIM, and many more.

Dr. Brady has had a multitude of peer-reviewed scientific articles and textbooks published that are related to chronic pain, autoimmunity, and functional gastroenterology; he is also a featured contributing author of several medical textbooks: “Advancing Medicine with Food and Nutrients, 2nd ed.” (Kohlstadt I, editor, CRC Press, Boca Raton, FL; 2012); “Integrative Gastroenterology” (Mullin G, editor, Oxford Press, Weil Integrative Medicine Library, New York, NY; 2011); and “Laboratory Evaluations for Integrative and Functional Medicine, 2nd ed.” (Bralley JA, Lord RS, eds., Metametrix Institute, Duluth, GA; 2008). He authored his latest work, which became an Amazon’s best-seller book entitled “The Fibro Fix,” published by Rodale Books in July 2016.
